Welcome to The Oast Bakery, Hartfield, an independent bakery with over a decade of experience creating proper cake - freshly baked each day and full of flavour, made with simple, honest ingredients including organic eggs from Orchard Eggs in Forest Row. We bake to order for farm shops, cafés, and local customers who want cakes that taste homemade, because they are. Since everything is made fresh, we ask for a few days’ notice when placing an order.

Alongside our cakes, we also offer outside catering and thoughtfully prepared seasonal picnics, ideal for events, gatherings, or relaxed afternoons outdoors. Every menu is made with the same focus on freshness, good ingredients, and satisfying flavour.

We also bake and provide lunches for our sister company, The Oast Studio, where we host hands-on creative classes like Sewing, Needle Felting & Basket Weaving. Each session begins with one of our freshly baked custard tarts, a little something to welcome everyone in, and other sweet treats throughout the class.
